Kitani Mohabbat Hai
Here’s a series that I really wanted to write about for the longest time, but I was waiting for the series to end to write about it. Kitani Mohabbat Hai is an Indian drama/series. I first got into this series when I started subbing/segmenting it. I’ve seen episodes of a few other Indian and Pakistani dramas before, but this is the first one that I’ve found interesting and actually followed.
Title: Kitani Mohabbat Hai
Episodes: aprox. 170
Type: Indian Drama
Broadcast Station: NDTV Imagine
Synopsis: Arohi Sharma, a pure hearted, small town girl, with an amazing voice, who dreams of becoming a singer, meets Arjun Punj, an arrogant business tycoon. The two cannot stand each other. Because of circumstances, Arohi ends up working under Arjun, who makes life a living hell for Arohi. Eventually, the misunderstandings between them slowly begin to clear, and they start falling for each other. But something always tries to keep them apart.
Yeah, I know. It’s your typical guy+girl hate each other, but then fall hard for each other type of series. However, I still found it very entertaining. The comic relief in this drama is just awesome. I admit the writers probably dragged it longer than it needed to be, which is normal for a soap opera. The plot also started to go in circles toward the end. Nonetheless, I still say it’s awesome. The two main characters made such a cute couple.
I’m pretty sure they ended the series because the audience was complaining the series was starting to suck. I would too if it was dragging on longer than it’s supposed to be. I’m so glad they ended it where they did, preventing it from becoming a failure as a drama. Can you believe it? Some people wanted the series to go on longer. What were they thinking? When the plot goes in circles, it is definitely is a bad sign. It prevents the story from going on and eventually loses followers.
Okay, ignoring that minor rant, I recommend you watch this series because it is actually pretty good.
You can watch this series over at Viikii.
My Rating: (3.5/5) and if compared to other south asian dramas (4/5)
