Dollhouse

Title: Dollhouse
Broadcast Network: Fox
Synopsis: “ECHO (Dushku) is an “Active,” a member of a highly illegal and underground group of individuals who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas. Hired by the wealthy, powerful and connected, the Actives don’t just perform their hired roles, they wholly become — with mind, personality and physiology — whomever the client wants or needs them to be. Whether imprinted to be a lover, an assassin, a corporate negotiator or a best friend, the Actives know no other life than the specific engagements they are in at that time.”

It breaks my heart to know that this show is most likely going to be cancelled.  It had a really interesting plot (and take on life?).  The main reason I started watching this show was because Eliza Dushku plays the main character (Echo), but I found the whole plot and concept of it all so interesting.  It’s unfortunate how most of the shows she stars in amazing and unique, but end up getting cancelled after the first season (I’m totally referring to Tru Calling).

Anyways, Dollhouse is awesomely unique.  I loved almost everything about it, except maybe there was a little too much focus on whole “lust” element (if I wanted to see people make out that much, I’d watch porn instead).  But then again, lust did play an important role inside the Dollhouse.  The show really makes you think.  Watching the actors play different people with different personalities throughout the show is pretty amusing.  It really tested their acting abilities.

The SEASON FINALE airs this Friday (May 8th) at 9/8 central on Fox.  Don’t forget to watch!
