Hear Me

This is probably one of the cutest movies I’ve seen in a really long time.  I’d say its more sweet than cute, but either way it’s still great.

Hear Me tells the tale of a delivery boy (Tian Kuo) who regularly delivers food at a swimming pool where a deaf swim team practices.  One day he meets Yang Yang a girl who comes out to support her older sister (Xiao Peng) who is on the swimming team.  Tian Kuo is intrigued by her and tries to pursue her. However, things get complicated when Yang Yang has to deal with problems regarding her sister, which makes it harder for Tian Kuo to be with the one he loves.

Although the plot may sound a bit generic, trust me.  It is very unique.  Like I said, it is a really cute movie.  The two main characters made an adorable couple.  The cinematography was very well edited and put together, not to mention the movie has a great soundtrack.  The acting is excellent.  Seeing as how this movie is mainly about deaf people, approximately 75% of the dialogue in this movie is done through sign language, which means the movie relied heavily on the acting.

It may not have been a thrilling or super hilarious, but it’s going on my list of favorite movies for being sweet in its own way.

My Rating: (5/5)
